SEEDS OF KINDNESS

WHAT DOES SEEDS OF KINDNESS MEAN?

This is the kindness that one receives as a result of their kindness that they showed in the previous and comes to a remembrance and a reward for that act of goodness; one is being rewarded for their good behavior or character. I usually say, “Whatever good act, or deed that a man does it will follow them and their generation after. On the other hand also; whatever evil or wickedness that a man does, it will also follow them and their generation afterward. Therefore let us be conscious of what we do today as it will come back to us tomorrow. Our actions toward God and toward others are like a seed; it will sprout up, grow, produce fruits and in the inside, there will be seeds again for replanting. Therefore, it depends with what type of seed one may have planted.  In the Book of Jeremiah the Lord talked about the good figs and the bad ones thus (Jer. 24:1-10) “The Lord showed me, and there were two baskets of figs set before the basket set before the temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princess of Judah with the craftsmen and smith, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten, they are so bad.” The two baskets of fig brethren; very good and very bad ones. This had come as a result of the seeds that had planted. Many a times we plant bad seeds and they germinate to healthy good seed but, these one; they were planted as bad, they germinate as bad, produced bad figs and gave bad seeds altogether; why? Because they were so bad, and so filthy. Allow me to continue for further understanding beloved (V.3-7) “Then the Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.” Again the word of the Lord came to me saying, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans. For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land: I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. Then I will give them a heart to know Me that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.” Obedience is indeed better than sacrifice! It was a word of God through His prophet Jeremiah that the Israelites because they rebelled against the Lord their God, to be taken captives to Babylon for the Lord’s chastening. And afterward bring them back and do them good; having obeyed the voice of the Lord, thereby becoming the good figs; very good and pleasing to their Maker.  And for the disobedience ones they are liken as (V. 8-10) ‘And as the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad’-surely thus says the Lord-‘so will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt. I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them. And I will send the sword, the famine and the pestilence among them, till they are consumed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.” These are the bad figs, which are very bad; they cannot benefit in any way, they cannot profit in anyway, therefore the only solution for them is total destruction. And this comes as a result of their seed. There is a saying which says, “Whatever goes around comes around”

RUTH’S SEED OF KINDNESS

Ruth is a very good example of those who planted good seeds, germinated and bore good fruits, producing a hundred folds of good seeds again from the planted ones (Ruth 2:2-20) “So Ruth the Moabites said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor.” And she said to her, “Go my daughter.” Then she left and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.” Ruth as a young widow, an alien, a foreigner and a stranger, she didn’t wait for her mother-in-law Naomi to go on the fields to bring what they could feed on but dared and risked it all by herself. She wasn’t in her comfort zone as many of us would do but found a solution and a means of staying and coping with her situation and that of her mother-in-law.  Her act of kindness was recognized and noted by Boaz who inquired about her (V. 5-7) “Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, whose young woman is this?” So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, “It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the county of Moab. And she said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reaper among the sheaves.’  So she came and has continued from morning till now, though she rested a little in the house.”  Ruth found favor in the sight of Boaz (V. 8-10) “Then Boaz said to Ruth, “You will listen my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close to my young women. Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” So she felt on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” Boaz had noticed the seed of kindness of Ruth to her mother-in-law since the demise of her late husband; in turn, he showed her kindness and favor among his servants and spoke a word of prayer to her life (V.11-12) “And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has fully been reported to me , all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother  and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The Lord repay your work and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wing you have come for refuge.”

THE DIVINE LAW OF SAWING AND REAPING

One of the great principles in God’s mighty universe is known as the divine law of sawing and reaping. And simply stated, this says one harvests what they have planted. This is true in matters of evil as well as in areas of righteousness. Many Old and New Testament passages bring this out. And a classic example of this divine law as I had noted prior, is seen in the life of Ruth. After the death of her first husband, she had no obligation whatever to help or continue with Naomi, her mother- in-law as the bond that had tied them together was no more and being in her country in that case, she was to choose otherwise.  Yet Ruth not only embraced Naomi’s true God as her Lord, but actually assumed the role of Naomi’s own fleshly daughter.  Upon meeting Ruth for the first time, Boaz comments on this act of kindness. And shortly after their meeting, the sowing-and-reaping law produced its result. For Ruth was paid back with multiplied kindness by God Himself. And as the story turned out, she was married to godly Boaz, bore him a son, became the great-grandmother of King David, and eventually found a place in the genealogy Christ. What a wow! See (Matt. 1:5-6) “Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the King. David the King begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.”

JOSEPH’S SEED OF KINDNESS

Joseph’s seed of kindness was expressed to the two officers of Pharaoh, the chief butler and the chief baker (Gen. 40:1-23) “It came to pass after these things that the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their lord, the king of Egypt. And Pharaoh was angry with His two officers, the chief butler and the chief baker. So he put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the prison the place where Joseph was confined.” God will always make things in place when He wants to make His way out for His elect. In this case,  Pharaoh’s officers had to defend him; be put in custody where Joseph was in order to meet them; had dreams each on the same night and the dreams be interpreted by Joseph; the interpretation comes to pass and the chief butler had to forget with Joseph for a while until the ordained time was due. I will not go into much detail but just the main agenda (V.20-23) “Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday that he made a feast for all His servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand. But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.” Be kind beloved to all men, never expecting reward from anyone but from God the Father whose ways are unsearchable, because men will always let us down as in the case of Joseph. But when God act (Gen. 41:1, 9, 14-16) “Then it came to pass at the end of two full years that Pharaoh had a dream and behold he stood by the river; then the chief butler spoke to Pharaoh saying: “I remember my fault this day. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream ant there is no one who can interpret it. But I have had it said of you that you can understand a dream and interpret it. So Joseph answered Pharaoh saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”  So Joseph interpreted the dream with wisdom and the Spirit of God which made Pharaoh enthroned him setting him in the entire land of Egypt.

Never mind about the duration beloved, but receive the spirit of patience and perseverance; because when the time is due; everything will come into place. And those that, we  might have been a laughing stock to, will come bowing down, congratulating and celebrating with us as they say, “This is the work of God and indeed it is marvelous in our sight; as we have never seen such before in this version.”  If you are convinced and know like I know then type your Amen down below on the comment section.

“Grace to you and Favor from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with us all. Amen and Amen and Amen.”
