THE HISTORY’S FULFILMENT

WHAT IS HISTORY?

History is the manifestation of what happens or what was prophesied in the past being evident in the presence. Like what happens now in our generation today, the preacher said (Ecc.1:9-10). “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing that is new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in the ancient times before us.” What we see and experience today it is a manifestation of the things that had already come and pass in the past. The word we hear and listen to today; God had sent His servants the prophets, the priests, the judges and through His Only begotten Son Jesus Christ; and today He continue to speak the same words through His servants.

WHAT HISTORY BIENG FULFILLED?

From the beginning of history God has been concerned to surround Himself with a representative section of humanity who will obey His will and constitute His kingdom. Out of all other nations He chose Israel and though, they frequently disobeyed and rejected Him, It was through them that the Messiah ultimately came(Heb. 1:1-8) “God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat done at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He by inheritance obtained a more excellence name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say:  “You are My Son, today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? But when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says:  “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”  And of the angels He says: Who makes His angels’ spirits and his ministers a flame of fire.” But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God is for ever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.” The prophets announced at various times the coming of One who would rule God’s people in righteousness and truth, and usher in a new age of divine blessing. The Messiah proved to be God’s own Son, through whom the world had been created and to whom all things had been given as His heritage. Christ title of “Son” does not indicate lineal descent but shows the difference between related functions in two equal Persons. As God the Son Jesus died obediently for human sin, and was raised in triumph as Judge of mankind.

A MESSAGE FOR ALL PEOPLES

From the book of Acts of the apostle, Peter opened his mouth and said, “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteous is accepted by Him. The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ- He is Lord of all-that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:  how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Act 10:43-38). Peter’s sermon is delivered to a Gentile audience He began by affirming that God’s message of salvation was sent to the sons of Israel. The psalmist had said, “He sent His word and healed them (Ps. 107:20). It came through the prophets who testified of the forgiveness which was available through His name (Acts 10:43). The substance of word is its message of peace. The peace referred to is individual, “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ(Rom. 5:1), corporate, “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation” (Eph. 2:14), and cosmic (Isa. 11:6-9). The message of the Word centers in Jesus, of whom all the prophets bore witness. He is the Prince of Peace (Isa. 9:6) and Servant whose substitutionary suffering secured our peace, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed(Isa. 53:5). Although God’s Word came historically through the sons of Israel, it was designed for all the world. Peter brings this out by stating, “He is Lord of all.” The promise of God to Abraham was, “In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Gen.12:3). Through the vision given to him, Peter was able to see that the “all” of the Abrahamic promise incorporated the Gentiles over whom Jesus was now Lord. And the psalmist again state, “All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord and shall glorify Your name” (Ps. 86:9). And the beginning of his psalms he wrote, “Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession” (Ps.2:8).

THE GLORIOUS SON OF MAN A WAITED FULFILLMENT

Jesus the Christ the Son of God humbled Himself before His accuses and the chief priest that He never in any way exalted Himself but lowered Himself as the “Son of Man” (14:61-62) “But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” Jesus said, I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” If Jesus is not what He claimed? He deserves not worship but contempt. Yet Jesus calls Himself the “Son of Man.” His Person can never be seen a part from His human as well as His heavenly origin. Quoting from Daniel, who saw the Messiah’s glory, “I Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body and the visions of my head troubled me” (Dan 7:15). Jesus applies the prophesy to Himself “Son of Man” seventy eight times in the Gospel. It is clear, therefore, that He is the God man. Jesus’ profession of His deity is here linked to a prophesy oh His coming in power and glory, which will be crowning proof of His deity. “Sitting at the right side of Power” speaks of His exalted place as Lord of all. The “right hand” is the place of full authority. The clouds of which He comes speak of the glory of God- a cloud of glory will attend the exalted Messiah when He comes. The wise person will receive and glorify Him now rather than meeting Him in judgment on that day. In (Matt. 24:30) state, “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” This is the only great Miracle that awaits its fulfillment in the near future brethren.

BEHOLD THE BABY AS THE FULFILLMENT OF A PROPHECY

There was joy and gladness when the baby Jesus was born (Luke 2:10-14) Then the angel said to them, “Do not be a fraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you; you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” The angel speaks of future joy and blessing coming to humanity through the birth of a child in Bethlehem. This place was spoken of as the “city of David” because David himself was born there. It was fitting that Jesus who was of the house of David, should be born in Bethlehem, in fulfillment of a prophecy made six centuries earlier (Mic. 5:2) “But you Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose going forth are from of old, from everlasting.” The baby is proclaimed as “a Savior” because that will be His ultimate work on the Cross, and also as “Christ the Lord” As the Greek word “Christ” means “Anointed,” as does the Hebrew word “Messiah.” Hence the divine messenger is stating specifically that the infant is indeed the long-promised Messiah, who will usher in the divine kingdom among mankind. Simeon and Anna, a prophetess rejoiced greatly when Jesus was born for the fulfillment of the prophecy they had been waiting for, to manifest before their departure from the world (Luke 2:25-38). As a baby this Messiah is identified fully with human beings, but as the Anointed Savior and Lord He will demand the full loyalty of His people.  As (John 3:17) states “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”  Jesus is the ultimatum fulfillment of history from His miraculous conception, birth, death, resurrection, ascension and His return which every believer must be eagerly waiting for.

WHAT IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE?

The greatest miracle that had happened in the past is the conception of Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:30-31) “Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS.” If a list of the world’s greatest days were compiled, surly the events described in Luke 1 and 2 would rank near the top. It has been suggested that the firth greatest day marked the birth of Christ, the fourth greatest day His crucifixion, the third His resurrection, and the second His ascension. But what is the greatest of all days? According to prophecy, it is yet in the future, and will occur at the sounding of the seventh trumpet, when Christ comes again to receive the kingdoms of this world as His own “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” And the twenty- four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give You thanks O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.”   (Rev. 11:15- 17).But in many ways the birth of Christ could be considered the most significant and far-reaching miracles of all time. The wonder was not just that He came into the world without a human father, but that the infinite, holy, all-knowing, eternal God, the creator of this universe, would agree to take upon Himself the likeness of sinful flesh, knowing full well that He would be cruelly crucified by His own sinful creatures! This is perhaps the greatest miracle of all.

Abba Father I glorify Your Holy name and I do worship You for Your great revelation and inspiration each and every single day.

“Grace to you and Favor from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen and Amen and Amen.”
